Why Apple’s Mouse Charges From The Bottom
Apple’s known for making some interesting design decisions, and nowhere is that more clear than with their Magic Mouse. Which is powered from the bottom, making it impossible to use while charging. And I’ll explain why Apple made such a strange decision in this video.

This channel seems to be run by the marketing department at Apple. Always has an “explanation” for the poor design choices and substandard engineering.

10 tips for mastering time management at work
We’ve all experienced the woes of time management at work. You wake up hopeful and optimistic—not only will you meet all your deadlines, but you’ll hit the gym and make a healthy home-cooked meal, too.
Then life happens. You leave late, you hit traffic, and you arrive at your desk already frustrated with the world. Sitting down to finally knock out that project you’ve been procrastinating for weeks, you realize you’ve got back-to-back meetings until noon—and yes, you’re already late for the first one. You finally walk out of the last meeting, and you start wading through emails when you get pulled into a meeting with the VP. He has a last-minute request for you. “It should only take an hour,” he says. Try three.
The good news is that there are ways to reclaim those seemingly elusive lost hours of the day. It’s all about personal time management—manage your time instead of letting it manage you. We’ve got ten time management tips for work to get you starte

Here are 3 tips to be funny from TATH:
You can always find a FUNNY way to live. This is our slogan, we state that with us it’s all about the FUNNY, that should be your primary goal when joining us: “To be funny”. Follow the FUNNY and the FUN will be there. We want to leave the audience after show saying: “Wow, they’re funny, this is smart and relatable comedy” and not: “Whoa, I see they’re having fun, but this is some weird shit”. But you don’t have to be born funny, as long as you’re reacting truthfully, the comedy will come. The choices you make have to either be comedic choices or real, truthful choices.
Rules or no rules? Improv is making things up together, so if there are no rules you can’t do it with others and it will be a big mess. Rules help us improvise easier just like in real life, rules are there to make our lives ordered. People mistake that rules limits creativity but the truth is “limits create creativity”. Rules help us to be more creative. It is very important for any member in the club to know all the rules and to follow them. However, once you know all the rules and work with other members for a while, you can start to break the rules knowing that your partners will be able to accommodate what you do and make it work. In other words, you can break the rules if it’s funny, if it serves the game of the scene. If it doesn’t work, you might be an asshole killing the scene.
Comedy skills. We call comedy skills because you need to do them again and again to be good. Think of it as Jazz musician learning to improvise with his/her instrument, it takes him/her years of practice to do so. Luckily, it doesn’t take that long for improv comedy and anybody can do it if they practice hard enough. But seriously, treat the audience like genius, they deserve good quality of comedy, don’t just vamp. It means no laughing on stage, commit to your character, don’t break the fourth wall or comment on your own scene…

The Rise Of Short-Form Video: TikTok Is Changing The Game
Imagine gaining 15,000 billion media impressions in the space of a month, without doing anything. No advertising campaigns, no marketing. Just suddenly having a surge of online activity without even lifting a finger. Add to this a rise in sales and you have a fantastic deal. Seems almost too good to be true. But for Ocean Breeze, that’s exactly what the company found late last year.
But how did this occur? What can create such an effect?
The Answer Is One TikTok Video.
That’s right, just one video. A perfect example of the power that the short-form video app has is documented in one person’s commute to work while enjoying cranberry juice and a ’70s tune. The user in question is Nathan Apodaca, who decided to film himself skateboarding to work while listening to “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac and drinking a bottle of Ocean Breeze’s cran-raspberry juice. The video exploded in popularity, spreading all around TikTok and across the internet. And with it, Ocean Breeze received a wave of positive light and a boost in sales. And it wasn’t just the company that benefited. “Dreams” was reportedly streamed over 8 million times in the U.S. following the TikTok video, climbing as high as 36 on the Streaming Songs chart. Not bad for a song from 1977. In fact, it was so popular that Fleetwood Mac drummer, Mick Fleetwood, filmed his own version of Apodaca’s video, merrily skating along with a bottle of juice.
These statistics pale in comparison to what the app has achieved since its global release in 2018. It has reached over 2 billion downloads and has more than 100 million monthly active users in the U.S. While it may have originally been released as an app to post lip-synching and dance videos, TikTok has expanded into something far larger, bringing a massive shake-up to the social media status quo. Users have flocked to the app’s short, “snackable” content, with the 15- to 60-second format offering great appeal, especially among those younger than 40. Looking to keep up with the trend, YouTube and Instagram have released their own versions, namely Shorts and Reels, respectively.
WHEN IT COMES TO NETWORKING DON’T LISTEN TO YOUR MOM
Networking is a big part of any business event, if you know how to network you can get a lot benefit from it. The purpose of networking is to widen your network, but funny enough people usually stick with those who work in the same field, who kind of look like them and talk like them. This is the problem of networking, we listen to our mom: “do not talk to strangers”. You should meet people you don’t know, people who aren’t in your field, even people you hate, approach them as partners rather than resources. When planning our networking activities, we always re-watch this talk so we can learn the importance of networking and how we can create a good networking activities.
In the talk, Tanya shares a great point about our habitual daily activities, when going to school or workplace, we use the same staircase or elevator, go to the same bathroom, even the same stall in that bathroom? Want to broaden your network, do it a little bit ‘wrong’ is her advice. Go to a bathroom on the different floor, you would have a great opportunity to see everything in different perspectives, you would encounter a whole new network of people. We usually filter our friends automatically at the first sight, evaluate them like: “She’s interesting.” “She’s not interesting.” and then decide to create a network with them or not. It is not supposed to be your best solution if you are finding new ideas, experiences and inspiration.
Remember the time when you heard someone who was not in your field talking about his/her idea and all of a sudden you were like: “wait a minute, this is so true, the same thing happens in my work. That’s right! Debating is like Judo, in Judo, when somebody takes a punch at you, you don’t punch back. You use the energy of their punch to flip them on their back.” You would feel like you understand debate a lot more when you learn this from a Judo guy. This is actually a real conversation we heard from our attendees when they talked to each other. This is once again the “ah hah” moment same like when you listen to talks.
Next time when you talk to a stranger, do listen to their situation, apply their principles that make them successful, that moment, you have a great opportunity to see things you’ve already known in a brand new light.
This also shows that you should be listening more when networking with other. And when reaching out to people, consider them as partners rather than resources. Through the words, we can eliminate the transaction and instead strengthen social tie. In Vietnamese, we say “Dung khach sao” after someone says thanks to you, it means “Don’t be formal, we’re family”. When you talk to people, it is not about you talking to them anymore, it is about you listening to them and hearing their stories. You job is to undertand them and they will do the same with you.

Dua Lipa Sued Again (And Again) For Copyright Infringement – Do These Lawsuits Have Merit?
Last May I wrote about the copyright lawsuit brought against Childish Gambino for his song “This Is America.” The opening line of that article was, “[t]hese days, it feels like music copyright lawsuits are a dime a dozen.” Not much has changed. Within the span of one week, Dua Lipa was sued twice for copyright infringement over her mega-hit “Levitating.” The first lawsuit was filed in California on March 1st on behalf of the band Artikal Sound System (“Artikal”), authors and copyright owners of the composition of 2017 reggae hit “Live Your Life.” The second lawsuit filed on March 4th in New York on behalf of L. Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer (“Brown/Linzer”), composers of Cory Daye’s 1979 disco song “Wiggle and Giggle All Night” and the 1980 song “Don Diablo.” Ironically, that same day, a copyright infringement suit was also filed against Sam Smith and Normani relating to their hit, “Dancing With a Stranger.”
Before jumping into these disputes, let’s set the stage with a few copyright basics. Copyright law is different from patent and trademark law. Think about them as intellectual property siblings; each with varied personalities.
Copyright protection gives to the author “exclusive property rights in the work, such as the sole right to reproduce, adapt, distribute, display and perform the work.” (Copyright Act of 1976 (17 U.S.C. § 101)) In Section 102, the Copyright Act provides, “[i]n no case does copyright protection for an original work of authorship extend to any idea, procedure, process, system, method of operation, concept, principle, or discovery, regardless of the form in which it is described, explained, illustrated, or embodied in such work.” Copyright protects the “expression,” but not the “idea.” Arguably, the reason for this and the purpose of copyright law is to protect original works of art and to promote the creation of new works.
Why is that important here? One concept referenced in both lawsuits is the idea of “substantial similarity.” To prove copyright infringement, the plaintiff must show (1) that the defendant had access to the plaintiff’s work and (2) that the defendant’s work is substantially similar to protected aspects of the plaintiff’s work.
